I am wondering if there is somebody who may go to the Sandgate Cemetery that may be able to look up and if possible take photo's of a headstone if there is one of a,

Benjamin Leonard died 31 December 1894 and buried 1st January 1895, Sandgate Cemetery NSW , Religion Primitive Methodist.

William Leonard died 19 July 1920 and buried 20th July,1920. Church of England, Cemetery, Sandgate NSW.

Benjamin Leonard and William his son were born Huddersfield England.

Here you go.
Benjamin is buried in lot 15, section NW8 of the Primitive Methodist section.
There is no headstone, but at the foot of the cement surrounds, you can see the lot number.

William is buried in lot 107, section 7 of the Anglican No. 1 section.
His wife Sarah Jane is also buried here. She died 31st Jan 1917 aged 63 years.

I'll have to put the pics up over a couple of posts.. the first two are Benjamin's grave. In the close up one of the foot, you can see the number 15 in the surrounds.

This one is William's and Sarah's grave. The headstone is still in fairly good condition and can easily be read. It is an open book with one name on each page. On the left side you can see something like a ribbon running up the side and then across the top corner. On this is written "Thy will be done"

Sarah Jane William Leonard
Dearly beloved wife of who died 19th July
William Leonard 1920
Died 31st Jan 1917 aged 69 years
aged 63 years
