I agree with Ruskie - they're not going to do a programme on you or me or the chap down the road, because the vast majority of viewers just wouldn't be interested. I know most of us RCers would watch even if they were looking into the ancestry of next door's cat, but I don't think that would be enough for the viewing figures somehow!   ::)

I think Tony Robinson would be a good subject - he has the enthusiasm to make it an enjoyable story - a bit in the mould of Griff Rhys Jones.

I don't really mind who they do next - as long as they're interesting. How about Dawn French and Lenny Henry? They've done Ian Hislop (really enjoyed that one) so how about Paul Merton? The Attenbroughs? John Humphries?

My impression of this series has been about people with a specific idea of ' who they are', and it's been disproved ie John Hurt thinking he was Irish.

So how about taking an Australian who thinks they are descended from convicts and see if that could be disproved.  Barry Humphries, Kylie or Rolf

Anyway, back to my list:-

Derek Griffiths
Chris Tarrant
Alexander Armstrong (Pimms o'clock)
A generic celebrity chef
Sean Bean

Starley - Coventry, Albourne

I'd heard it was Patsy Kensit filming at the LMA

Sorry but who's Derek Griffiths?

Blimey - Patsy Palmer and Patsy Kensit - who next: Jordan!!?

I seem to remember reading that Patsy Kensit comes from an East End gangster family, so I would have thought she'd want to steer clear. Amazing what some people will do for a bit of publicity!!

Someone said they saw Patsy Palmer being filmed for WDYTYA.

I suppose it may be that many major celebs who are asked if they will particpate, decline .... so then they need to go to second choices etc ...

Some more:

Joanna Lumley
Tony Blair
Michael Aspel
Cilla Black

PS. I think I read somewhere that Kylie has already had hers 'done'.
