What Bn was he in ?

Hi wonder if any you can help.  My ggranda George Devan served with the Seaforth Highlanders his no was S/22582, I know from his MIC that he served overseas in a war zone because he got BWM and VM.  So went overseas after 31st Dec 1915.  I want to if possble where he went and bn he was in.  I have tried the Great War forum and have drawn a blank. So any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Judging by his number, it looks as though he could have been in a Service Battalion, others will no doubt know more on this.

The Seaforth amalgamated with the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders.  Just a thought that their museum at Fort George might be able to assist you.  See the museum link for the Highlanders here:

Hi my grandfathers name was George Devan from airdrie lanarkshire and he passed away in 2002 age 72 years are we related in anyway??
