hi again

1901
Camelford, St Teath
Fern Villa

James Langdon head mar 60 Carter
Eliza wife mar 60
Eliza PROUT dau wid 32
John Langdon son s 21 slate quarry
Samuel Langdon son s 18
Runnell ? Langdon son s 12
IVY LANGDON gr daughter s 7 b St Teath
Frederic Prout dr son 4
Richard Prout gr son 2
Samuel Prout gr son 2 months

I cannot find a birth for Ivy langdon   :-\

The Marriage cert would give us the name of her dad....

deb :)

I wonder if Ivy could belong to Eliza Prout nee Langdon ? Eliza Langdon married frederick Chenoweth Prout Dec q 1896, Camelford. Ivy was born 1894..maybe illegitimate ?

Eliza Langdon married Frederick Prout dec q 1896. Frederick , the son was b c 1896/7 ...So he the son of Frederick Snr. Ivy is most probably Eliza's child but not Frederick's ..hence her surname was not changed ....

Frederick LANGDON ...dec 1896 , same quarter as Eliza married Frederick Prout

Hi, All,
I have finally solved the mystery!
Ivy Langdon was the daughter of Eliza Langdon - father unknown.
The reason we had so much trouble finding her was that she was registered as Florence Harvey Heard Langdon.  I can only assume that somewhere along the line, Harvey has been mutated into Ivy (?)  She did marry as Ivy Florence Langdon.
One less headache for me. :)
Regards,
Annie.

You are probably right
I have actually found one! :D
As yet, I have not gone too deep in to it, but it may be worth following up.
I am just so glad to know that I found Ivy at last (With a lot of help!)

Hi again

maybe the marriage cert would reveal a father's name ...that is if Eliza told her who her dad was!

Hi, Deb,
I have Ivy's marriage cert.  There is a line through the box where her Father's name should be.
At least I now know for sure who her Mother was.
Regards,
Annie  :)
