I am trying to find information on my g.g.grandfather, James McFarlane born about 1800, I think his fathers name was David. Any information on the Mcfarlanes would be appreciated.I am also interested in the name Wilson as their could be a family connection. Danniele

there is a jas. mcfarlane occ. cabinet maker born 1808 in clackmannanshire could this be him he is the only one that i could find in 1841 that in any way fits the criteria.
if you think it might be him i will post the full entry.

thank you for your reply, but I do not think this is my James McFarlane, as in the 1841 census he was married to a Helen Blews in Johnshaven,. but so far I have not been able to trace where he was born. Danniel
