This afternoon it was 45 minutes before I got onto this thread and when I tried to post a reply I gave up, but I couldn't log out. I just switched off in frustration.
Well here we are now and no problem.
Who fed the meter then.

Another problem I am having is that my number of posts does not seem to increase.

White Lady - that's because your recent posts have been ToT, which earn no points. But no doubt have amused and amazed, which is reward enough!

Found that out too a while back - otherwise my count should be over 2,000 by now - easily...
I am researching the following families:
Hurst / Payne - Leicestershire / Warwickshire / Worcestershire
Toon(e) - Leicestershire
Batchelor / Foster - Warwickshire / Northamptonshire
Hardy - Dorset
My web site has the family tree showing. I am researching primarily the Payne, Hurst, Foster and Batchelor lines in the Midlands.

Every site I've tried today has been in treacle, not just Rootschat. I've just re-booted my laptop and all is well.

I don't see a problem if Roots is a bit slow, most of the people we're looking for ain't going anywhere.

Funny Old Life, more people have moaned today about roots being slow, than saying a happy birthday to the bloke who started Roots up. And with out him and Sarah we wouldnt be able to use this site
