Hi
I don't suppose anybody knows where I might find newspaper reports for 1854 around the Swaffham area?
My gr x4 grandfather apparently came to a sticky end on 6 May 1854. He was accidentally burnt to death in a state of intoxication

The informant on the death cert was Charles Wright, Coroner in Litcham. He was a higgler, aged 58. It says he died on London Road, Swaffham.
He was married, with children, and lived at Great Cressingham, but there's no mention of his wife on the certificate. Maybe she had thrown him out - had enough

I know a lot of records are kept at Norfolk record office, but I would have a problem getting there. I would appreciate it if anybody could help
Rosemary
