Flowerer of Webs pauper

Does anyone out there know what a Flowerer of Webs pauper is?
I have a  Charlotte Milligan in the 1851 census for Newton on Ayr listed as this as her occupation. I am assuming it must be some kind of charity organisation but any information would be welcome.

'Flowering', at least in Ireland, was the embroidering of linen, I think white threadwork on white linen, and a job women would have done from home probably as piecework (web refers to the webs of linen probably). Sounds like your Charlotte had done this type of embroidery bu by 1851 was a pauper (perhaps her eyesight wasn't good enough, she had arthirits, etc.?)
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

A flowerer of webs was an embroiderer of of flower patterns.  This is a Scottish job description.  The web usually refers to cloth while still on the loom.

it makes sense now! I had assumed she was living off some kind of church fund as she had two young children and no husband living at the address. ;D
