Maybe you should post a request to the census look-ups board for Norfolk whether someone might be able to find them in the 1871 census as the father of Emma was presumably still alive then.

The fitrst seems to me more likely as Scottow registers in the Aylsham district. There were some other Christmas marriages where the wifes names was missing so far though.
