John Bruce
« on: Monday 15 October 07 16:12 BST (UK) »
The marriage of John Bruce and Mary Drummond is in both the Markinch and Errol OPRs. As Mary was of the parish of Markinch I'm assuming that John was born in Errol. The marriage was in 1802. Mary died 1847 aged 68 but I have no death for John. Their first son was William and second daughter Elizabeth which might indicate that John's parents were William and Elizabeth. Anyone out there who might be able to fit him into their tree?

Thank you both. That one in Errol in 1780 sounds promising. The date would fit.
Yes, that's the family in 1841 census for Star. I have Mary's death in 1847 from the Fife pre 1855 death index but unfortunately no trace of John there.
Many thanks for your interest.
