Jimster, You are perfectly right what Sandra said but you left out:

OR have already obtained some informtion but need some Expert Help.

You got a reaction from me for this Quote you left:

Julzy and ScotsbabeAnnie
I get the feeling that they will not be looking for someone who has been researching for years. I think that they will want someone who has just started and is stuck at their grandparents.

So I took it as you implying that we shouldn't have bothered in the first place. Just an Observation.

AT the end of the day it's up to the people at Olga Tv to decide Whom they have picked for the piece they are doing. ;D

Well said Borderterrier :)

it's a fantastic opportunity for some lucky person and what a shame that someone who doesn't recognise that fact had to post petty insults aimed at Paul O'Grady instead of just leaving the thread if he didn't like it.

Where exactly has anyone posted "petty insults" about Paul O’Grady?

Everyone has a right to their opinions on a topic, even if you do not agree with them.

 ;D

It seems that my initial post was misconstrued, no offence was intended

My second post was just a little dig at WDYTYA which was recently accused of faking scenes for effect (my attempted humour appears to have fallen flat)  :-[

I was actually referring to the post where Paul Grady is referred to as a "She" and accused of identity theft .....which I took to be a petty insult at a man who used to be a cross dresser.  I agree with your second point 100%, however in this case this was not an opinion about the actual TOPIC but an excuse to offend the man who just happens to present the show.

But anyway, I'm sure time will tell whether this is indeed a genuine offer and no matter who is picked I'm really looking forward to watching the results (with only a slight pang of jealousy that it isn't me lol)

If anyone watches the show (which i do everyday) you will see when credits roll at the end, it is made by OLGA TV which also happens to be the name of little black dog he has on show with him.

Thirsty, I did not notice that posting, I thought my comments were being misconstrued as an attack on Paul’s show.
Apologies all around.

I too will look forward to seeing how the show covers someone’s family history.
Picking up on what I was saying about our most recent ancestors, I actually prefer it when these TV programs dwell on Edwardian and late Victorian times – as these are the early days of motion pictures. You only have to look at WDYTYA to see how using old stock movie images add a bit of “flavour” to the programs.

To those offended by my posts, I say im sorry for that. I did not say anything offensive about the person that he does not allude to himself.

Someone else commented on the validity of the request and I responded by pointing out that it is known for identity thieves to use information published on sites like this, a mothers maiden name can be very valuable to a thief, I was not suggesting that Paul O'Grady was the thief. Up to now we have no confirmation that the request is genuine.

With regard to my expressed feelings about the presenter, as somebody else said everyone has a right to an opinion, whether you agree with them or not. I did not say anything offensive about the person and certainly would not do so on a public forum, but if anyone wishes to read his Bio they can do so here :-

After reading that you can make up your own mind about whether you wish to be associated.
