just thinking, if somebody was born midflight somewhere, what would be put on a birth certificate ?

Yes, the birth is registered where the plane lands. Same idea as a marriage at sea being registered at the first port of call after the ceremony. However the birth certificate would probably say something like (under place of birth) aboard flight 297 Glasgow to Toronto or something. I remember seeing a death certificate once for someone who died on a train and it was ' died on 4:15 train from New York to Boston' or something similar.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

My dad died whilst on his honeymoon abroad 14 years ago this month.

but i'm glad it didnt happen whilst travelling somewhere, which he was to do that very day, he died in Cyprus but was to travel to Israel.

so midflight or boat the destination where you land or port is classed as the place,  and marriage onboard say a cruise ?

expect future silly answers now like died on spacerocket to mars.
