Elswick grave help needed please
« on: Friday 12 October 07 20:24 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone
I know this is a really big ask but
I wonder if  anyone living  in Elswick would be able to visit the St Johns Elswick Cemetery
and check a grave for me
I would love a photo if there is a headstone.
Elswick Road Entrance
It is in Section C Grave number 195
Jane KERR 1864 my gtgtgrandmother
I have a plan of the cemetery ( the section is marked)
which I can provide
Thanks in anticipation.
Fingers crossed
Christine

Hi Christine

Do you mind if I ask you where you got your plan of the cemetery?  My grandparents are both buried there, I would love to show my mam, so we had an idea where to go if we ever visit.

I did get in touch with a lady from Newcastle County Council some time ago, and she mentioned going to Tyneside Archives.  Also she said she could get somebody to meet us there and show us to it.  But as it would be a Sunday that we went, I don't think anybody works there on a Sunday.

Rosemary ;D

Hi
I got it from someone on a Northumberland list
I will look for it and see if I can post it here
Do you think that will be OK?
