Hi Allan

I have sent you a PM with a list of nine Birth Registrations for children with the surname Leah in Toxteth Park (first six) and Liverpool (last three) where the Mother’s Maiden Name was Dempster.

The five names that you quote from Isaac and Rebecca's grandson are all there, which seems to confirm that the Dempster Maiden Name (and the 1907 Marriage) is the correct one.

I have found the Marriage of Rebbecca L Leah to Herbert Ellis in St Cleopas church,Toxteh in june 1941...any info on Herbert Ellis would be appreciated...I can`t find his birth...anyone help ?.2 possibles on free bmd one 1915 one 1920 but he`s Herbert E...married as Herbert ..allan

Hi Allan, I know it's been years since this was posted , how did you get on with this line? I am related to them. Isaac Leah and Rebecca Dempster were my great, great uncle and aunt.

Hiya Sue - my very good friend is the son of Rebecca L Leah and Herbert Ellis ..he is not computer literate and asked me to try and find out about his mum and dad as they both died when they were young ....his nan brought him up from the age of about 9 ....if you would like to contact him - let me know ..
