I must say that I misread the title of the thread, when I first spotted it, as:
"Rootschat Outrage".
Thought we'd done something terrible to the World, for a moment or two...
keith

You may be closer than you realise with that statement, Keith.

There are so many sites containing online genealogical data that genealogical tourism is dying a slow death. See my post in reply to Moira's on the Armagh Ancestry thread which contains an article referring to the death of genealogical tourism in Ireland. It's a bit like the shrew found by Lydart.

I found a dead and very smelly shrew inside the sofa bed today ... our cat catches them, brings them inside, and then lets them go ...

Sorry ... off topic !

Well maybe it's a related topic as you couldn't log on to RootsChat, Lydart 8)

Thanks Trystan  ;D I thought it was just Annie answering a hundred
postings all at once  ;D

 ::)  :P  *AHEM*...ok. I admit it...I read it as outrage as well )

I like the new search page, Trystan, although I'm not sure it has sped up things up at all...but the categories should prove to be very efficient  I should think...

J.J. Have you got a new Search page? It looks the same to me.

I feel deprived  :'(

I think Trystan might have taken out the preliminary page which is great  :D

It's just the advanced search page Gadget, like you say, the preliminary search has gone.

There you go, I've never taken the time to search through the advanced search page  ;D haha ... But then the search always worked fine just the way it was until lately...so never had a need...What a busy site this has become!

Thanks for letting us know Trystan.  Whatever you did while it was down it definitely seems to have speeded things up so it seems to have been worthwhile.

We do appreciate all the hard work you and Sarah have done to give us this site, like others I don't know what we'd do without our daily fix.

Best wishes
Mary

I second that Mary!   ;D

If we moan and groan and whinge, we don't mean it, we just need our daily fix of rootschat and we do appreciate all your hard work to keep us in the habit!!!!! ;D

PS  I remember the advanced search page, I think I used it once a long time ago.  ::) ::)

Funny - I always use the Advanced search, it's quicker if you know the boards that you need to search on. Ordinary search used to take ages  :)

All this  whinging that we do is just withdrawal symptoms. Maybe we can get a repeat prescription from our GPs  :D
