Hi Chris & Kazza,

Thanks, Chris,  for checking the NBI.

Very interesting that the first edition excluded Sussex.
An acquaintence once looked for BREEDS for me and was unable to locate a single one of them.
Now I know why!!

Thanks to you Kazza, for the encouragement!
Searching for BREEDS/BREADS, FARNDELL, JOY, DOBELL, FARMER, FRIEND, AUSTIN/AUSTEN, KENNARD, BRITCHER, WATERS, EAST, KIRBY in Kent and East Sussex,  also JENNINGS, BELL, COULTAS  in Yorkshire

Hi Foxglove

"Very interesting that the first edition excluded Sussex."

That is not strictly the case - The family history groups in sussex did not submit any information to the NBI for inclusion in the archive.

There were various reasons for this, which I will not go into here.

My 5th Great Grandmother was Ann Farndell (1806 - 1871) and she married John Breeds in 1820.   I am unable to track down her parents.

Ann Farndell
1806–1871
Birth 1806 • Robertsbridge, Sussex, England
Death 18 OCT 1871 • Tenterden, Kent, England
