Just thought you would like to know that the symbols on the back of the headstone are probably a skull with a bone underneath. The bone usually is a femur but sometimes is just a representation of a bone, such as a cartoonist draws. Some are crossed like a Jolly Roger or located either side of the skull. Sometimes only one is shown. The skull itself can be in many forms - side on, full on or at any odd angle. Some has only eyes with no nose, some have no bottom jaw or some have a full set of two rows of teeth. The skull and bone represent the 'death's head' and is one of the oldest symbols of death. On some stones there are carved the same number of skulls for the people commemorated.
The skull and bone appear to be what you have on the reverse side of the gravestone. Hope this helps.
