Thank you so much for this information - with my fathers mother Phyllis Bryson (daughter of Lily Cobb) dying at such a young age and his father dying before he was born in 1928 leaving him an orphan at age 6 he knew so little of the family - This really really helps.
I think that the John Cobb referred to in the Census was the land speed record holder for years would anyone know that for sure??

Still trying to find when Phyllis Bryson married Walter Bruce Gray??
