"How can I have more?" said Alice. "I haven't had any yet."

Thank you very much for putting me on the list, Barbara, but my name shouldn't be in red...don't want folks to think I'm being greedy ;D

Are there any rules to the Scavenger Hunts? Or, cleverly continuing the Alice allusion, is it all like a croquet game in Wonderland? ;D ;D ;D

Cheers,
China

Hi China..........don't worry about the red, it just lets us know you're eager to join in....    ;D ;D

No actual rules.  I'll contact you the week before your hunt and you let me have the details of who/where/what/when/why you want found - will all relevant census BMD's etc and the Hunters take it from there.   Have a look at one of the other Hunts and you'll get a good idea of just WHAT is found by the brilliant brilliant - have I mentioned BRILLIANT hunters...   ;D

Any problems or questions, just let me know.

We're going to have a Scavenger Hunt where one thread a week (on a Wednesday) is devoted to trying to knock down a wall for one of our members.  There are some brilliant minds in the Yellow Tail Gang and we're hoping by pooling resources we can help each other to find the missing piece of the jigsaw.

If you'd like to join us you're more than welcome, send me a PM and I'll add your name to the list and of course you can just join in anytime

At the end of the Scavenger Hunt each topic will be moved to the relevant board so the information found will be available to others who come along, I will amend this post giving the link to which board.

All Scavenger Hunts will be in the Common Room and on a Wednesday  Only when they are finished will they be moved.

Here's the list of names for the Scavenger Hunt.  Please PM me with the details of the person/information/place/address you'd like to find no later than the Monday prior to your allotted week.   Good luck everybody and have fun.

(Lesannes was a filler, so I've put her hunt on top)

It doesn't matter how difficult you think it is..........I'll bet my Hunters can find out something of interest for you.

Even if it's likely to be Absolutely Hopeless...?

I thought mine would be mundane and over in about 20 postings ... think its finally grinding to a halt on part the third, and nearly 700 postings !

There have been dozens and dozens of names added to my tree, plus other names back in the 1570's we can't link in ... yet ... but maybe ...

And for me the best, gruesome, but the best, was that 2XGr.gr.father was kicked to death by a carthorse !!

Go on folks ... add your name to the list and see what turns up !
Dorset/Wilts/Hants: Trowbridge Williams Sturney/Sturmey Prince Foyle/Foil Hoare Vincent Fripp/Frypp Triggle/Trygel Adams Hibige/Hibditch Riggs White Angel Cake
