Hello Gerald

Many thanks for the information. I had discovered some of the entries but others were new to me. It all helps to fill in the gaps.

Something I discovered from the 1901 census--a daughter,Catherine Figg who was aged 3 in the 1891 census did not appear in 1901 when she would have been 13. I tracked her down to Croydon, Surrey where she was living with her aunt :-

Mark Parfitt  Head, 41, Shopkeeper/Baker born  (looks like Bath/Farnorough)
Mary Elizabeth Parfitt,Wife,39, born Crondall,Hampshire
Hy James, 7,Son, born Croydon
Catherine Figg,13, born Huntingdon.

There have been several family links to Crondall which is a village  located near to Odiham. Will have to see how Mary Elizabeth fits into the scheme of things.

Keep up the good work,

Regards,Rosemary

Peskett Family Bible

Gerald,

I have inherited a family bible via Mabel Bessie Peskett (William Richard's daughter) and then through the Hancock family (of which I'm part). The bible was given to William Richard and Jane on their marriage on 17th July 1865 in Netherbury Church. It would seem better for you or the Peskett family to have it. Perhaps we could work out a way of getting it to you.

Best wishes,

John Hancock
