Looking for information for Albert Sydney TOOGOOD b. 3 Nov 1910.

There are two listed born same date and both died 1984. I would like to know the parents of the one that died in Canterbury. This one is more likely to be related as we have family in Kent

When you say there are two listed as dying at the same time with the same birth date and exactly the same name - I am wondering if they are both the same person?  What is the source of this informaton?

There is only one Albert S TOOGOOD registered in the December quarter 1910 (ie. born mid August 1910 to end December 1910).  This birth is registered in the St Olave registration district ref. 1d 216.  The St Olave registration district is the Southwark, South London area.

I would suggest that the only way to confirm his parents would be to purchase a birth certificate .................. unless you have any further information.  Are you trying to trace the family backwards or forwards?

Frank E Toogood and Albert Sydney Toogood are twins and born on 3 Nov 1910 in St Olave. The death listingings for Albert are on ancestry.co.uk and both are for Oct 1984 and both give the same date of birth. One is Canterbury, Kent and the other is Blackburn, Lancs.

The post 1984 indexes on ancestry are transcriptions so I suppose there is always room for error - the orginal indexes are at the Family records Centre, Islington, London

I would suggest contacting Canterbury Registy Office and asking them to check place of birth (assuming it was known by the person who registered the death) before supplying a certificate http://www.kfhs.org.uk/kentinfo-1.htm - that way they probably won't charge if it is not the correct one.
