Hi trees,
I sympathise with the search. I had a similar problem with my great grandmother - she was born in 1829 in Worcestershire but i could find no trace of her birth at all. The problem was resolved when I found out that she wasn't baptised until she was 42yrs of age!! As you know, most of the parish registers only record baptisms, not birth dates. I have found one Mary Hartland, b. about 1790, d. 1870 in Wolverhampton. I found her on Ancestry.co.uk but it didn't say which parish. There was also a Mary Hartland in the 1841 census. She was born in Broadwas but in 1803 but obviously she became a Hartland on marriage. I will continue looking & let you know if I have success but look later than her birthday in the Broadwas registers.
Regards,
Rob. of Portsmouth.
PS Thank you Sue for taking the time to check on the Hartland marriage. I look forward to hearing from you
Rob.

Many thanks for that Rob I'll try a longer search of the Broadwas regs. I did wonder if she was non con. too The married Hartland from Broadwas  is interesting Perhaps the husband was related to the Broadwas HARTLAND and they met on a visit.  I'll do a little chasing in case it leads anywhere

Hi, I have a lot of Ancestors (1748 of them)from Ombersley Phil take a look at my Hollioak line and see if any of the names match . GILES, MARSHALL, HODGES MOULE, ROSTINS etc. Then in Hartlebury GILES, ROSTINS,MOULE, RANDLE etc
I have a second HARTLAND line Mary Ann b 1832 Broadwas m William ROSTINS in Ombersley in 1856 their children were baptised in Ombersley. I got excited when I found these out on a twig as I thought Mary Ann might lead back to Mary 1791 Braodwas (my main line) so I followed her back. Her father was b 100 in Cradely Herefordshire his parents and Grand parents also from Cradley so I'm before Mary's birth with no connection Mary Ann was one of 7 born in Broadwas1832-1847

Hi Trees

No such luck as my god son Tim Cupper (whose partner is Rachel De Bere nee Mole) has no interest in F.H. - well to be fair he's not old enough yet Ho Ho.
