Love the piccies,  apanderson.

You seem to have been lucky with the weather :D Now Glasgow can be cold and grey and wet as you know  ::) ::) ::)

We certainly were lucky with the weather!

It was really a 'spur of the moment' descision to head to the Necropolis as the forecast for the Sunday was rain. I know this mucked up poor Aspin's plans but as you said Gadget, Glasgow on a cold, grey, wet and windy day is pretty miserable. Doesn't bother me too much (being a born n' bred Glaswegian anyway) - I spend half my life in graveyards no matter what the weather's like - I can't help myself!!

On the plus side for 'graveyarding' in the middle of winter - if it's bright enough and the light is 'just right' - you can get some amazing photos. On the down side - you end up with soaking wet mucky knees with kneeling in the snow . . . . . not that that puts me off!

Another few Necropolis photos . . . .

Great photos, Ann.  As the weather suddenly became quite bright, we pretty well had the place to ourselves, and as everyone can see the mid-afternoon light was very good for piccies.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Thanks apanderson for your thoughts
It didn't spoil the day for us a little disappointed at missing you all but saying that I am enjoying all the lovely pictures and we too love to look at the old buildings anywhwere ( don't make them like that now )

By the way in one of the book shops we were looking at a grand little book showing you the old buildings they are taking down and re- building in their place I think it was £9.99

Its a shame to take these buildings down but I suppose they have to

I think most of the old buildings now have to have their facade retained.

In other words, the front of the building will stay the same but it's only a 'facade' - once you get past the front door it's a completely new building. I do like the old buildings - some of the new ones are complete monstrosities.
