Because of this, I certainly will not take any part in the organisation of other meets and will not be attending any.

All,

As one who attended the meet, (and a Glaswegian also), albeit for only part of the day, I was proud to hear everyones positive comments about my city, it's architecture and it's people. The photos are fantastic and could have been New England in the fall. The company was excellent.

Maybe I take the place for granted as I work in the city every day, and socialise there at weekends.

Was at a wedding in the Cathedral in September and can understand why you appreciated it so much. It is so nice to hear the 'no mean city' getting praise. It has improved so much in the last 20 years and I continually tell strangers that. On behalf of Glaswegians I will leave you with a pleasant if contradictary farewell 'will ye no' come back again'

I'm not happy to arrange anything at the moment - maybe someone else might step in.

I think we have to get a framework of rules for posting photos after meets, etc. Maybe even in bold on the thread or something. I'll leave it to the Mods/Admin to maybe work something out.

I was stating my concerns as a general principle that all should follow because this is about the 3rd or 4th time it's happened that I know of and I've only been a member for 18 months  :-\

Polls photos and others have been great. That's how it should be  :)

I remember the shop from when I was a lad.  Didn't realise it was just as old as 1903 though.
If you liked it that much Barry, order online.
