Oh Go on then lol ..... ;)here's another The Back of the Provands Lordship ... the oldest house in Glasgow ...  You'll never guess who promptly sat down on the nearest chair when I got in the house ... only to find the gasps of ooh and tutting were not in admiration of the houses's interior... just a show of horror at me plonking my frame on a 15th century chair with a sign emblazoned across the back saying "Please do not touch !!!" Oh dear ... in trouble again ...

They're lovely aren't they Pels.    I'm a point and shoot person myself, only problem is I usually point and shoot my thumb or foot

It's the Tollbooth at Glasgow Cross.  All that is left of a 17th-century building.

I've stolen this quote from another site.....

"Originally one of the most important buildings of the city, housing the city council, courts of law and the jail, as well as the place where the tolls, taxes and dues were collected, the Tolbooth was built in 1625-7 but grew more distant to the commercial centre of the city as that moved westward. In 1921, in an attempt to rejuvenate the area, the majority of the Tollbooth was demolished to make way for a new development. However, this development was never undertaken and the spire is now all that remains of the original building."

Aw Pels ...you are so so sweet ..  and thankyou for your lovely comments about the pics ..I really am so delighted that people seem to be enjoying them ... even though they weren't there at the meet ..

. Dave ... my pocket  tourist Guide ... thanks  for the information ... Please add anything where you think it's appropriate ... this is turning into a bit af a history lesson for me ... I learned so much about Glasgow in those 3 days ... H ere's another ... same place  ...wider view ..

 This was a lovely Church I found walking through Park Circus , north of Kelvingrove Park .. And soo soooo quiet !! Well...It was early Sunday Morning ...and  Scotland did win the day before at Hampden Park
