I'm tracing the Croziers for my wife, they are on the maternal side of her mother's family. It is the female line in which I have a particular interest. I found a reference to a marriage between a Matthew Crozier and an Elizabeth Saderson for 6/8/1809 in the IGI. The marriage took place in Bishopwearmouth. So far no way of proving they are the same parents as in the 1841 census.

Thank you for your interest and help.

Reg.

Hi Reg,

That's ok - perhaps you should have a good look through FamilySearch.org at the Record Search Pilot.  If you then click on "browse our records collection" & then on Europe there has been scanned Diocese of Durham Bishops' Transcripts 1700-1900.  Look under Durham and then Sunderland & page 442 and you will find the christening of Elizabeth - perhap if you got back page by page you may the answer you're looking for and find their marriage !
