Mac,
Ann Curran was born in Co.Londonderry to John Curran and Nancy O'Brien on 11 Oct 1873 according to the IGI. Looking in the Record Search site the only registration listed in 1873 for Ann Curran is in Coleraine registration district.

I couldn't find Ann Curran's birth in IGI using parent search (had also tried it previously) but finally found the birth listed with father as Thomas Curran not John. Thomas Curran and Nancy O'Brien also have a son John born 13 July 1872 Co. Londonderry.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Many thanks for the prompt responses.  Sadly, whilst I have tracked down other siblings, the marriage still aludes me.  Still, one day ...!
