Hi there, sorry, only just came across this a few mins ago. There was a Henry TOOLEY in the 52nd at Waterloo, could this be your man if one of us has a mispelling? He was born in Ash, Canterbury circa 1790.

Hi Jane
His discharge papers are on microfilm in Kew -

The dates should be the period he served. You can order copies or have the microfilm sent to your nearest LDS centre under the A2A scheme.
You should not expect a lot. The army did not record FH information for example in this period. If you can get to Kew you can follow his service using the Muster Books and Pay Lists (WO12). These will tell you where he was each month.

HI Ken and Martin thank you for yor replies.
I have fouind out quite a bit more about Henry since my post but I haven't looked in WO12.
I was sent this information:
In 1815 he fought at the battle of Waterloo in Wiliam Rowans company as the Waterloo Medal Roll shows.
Will do a bit more digging on my next trip to Kew
