Hi Jo,

I checked out the Hornsea burial PRs at the East Yorkshire RO this morning.

You'll be pleased to know that the entry is -

April 19 1835 John WILKINSON NEWBRIDGE aged 17  abode: Beverley

I don't know what went wrong with the gravestone - possibly none of the family were literate so didn't notice the mistake?

Jill
HELP!!!

 BATHSHEBA BOOTHROYD bn c. 1802 W. Yorks.

Baptism nowhere to be found. Possibly in a nonconformist church near ALMONDBURY or HUDDERSFIELD.

Thanks Jill.  It has cleared that up for me.  Can I confirm it was under Newbridge rather than Hewbridge for my database?

Thanks again.
