Trying to find my cousin Julie F Weeks (b. Bristol)
« on: Sunday 19 December 04 17:55 GMT (UK) »
My mother (Phyllis Frances Dinneen nee Dart) tells me this story from of the 23rd october 1951:

She went into labour with me and was taken to southmead maternity unit (Bristol).
While lying there waiting for me to arrive another young woman was wheeled into the same room. To her astonishment it was her cousin Peggy Weeks, who had also gone into labour.
After a long night of labour, they both delivered healthy babies within minutes of each other around 06:40 in the morning. The first was myself, and a few minutes later my cousin Julie F. Weeks was born.

I cannot remember ever having met my Aunt Peggy or my cousin Julie, and the families totally lost contact with each other.
Undoubtedly Julie has married in the meantime and therefore a name search is probably useless.

If anyone knows either of Julie herself or has any ideas how I might trace her I would be very grateful.

Adrian

So many people in 'our' age group  ;D have joined Friends Reunited.
I have found a few people by doing a name search on there and now you can specify approx age. Long shot I know but.....every little helps.
Of course being a girl  ;) she may well have married and changed her name so you could try your local library or FRC for a marriage cert approx 20 years after her birth,ie from about 1971.

If you find one- pray she and hubby are still together and you can try them on 192.com. I have done that to find 2nd cousins in the past ans been succesful.

One word of warning don't assume people wish to be in touch, and NEVER ring anyone out of the blue.Write and give them time to digest the situation first.

Good luck,

Carol

You could also try writing a letter to a Bristol newspaper asking them to print your letter giving this information and the request for anyone can help you get in contact.
