Hi does anyone know if I can get a cd of the BMD at this church?
I live in the Manchester Area & don't drive so  it's not that easy for me to go to St.Helens Library...
I'm looking for BMD's of the surname Shard....

When You go to this site, click 'Church Records' (at the top of the page), and You will be taken to a page which gives details of Who has the Church Registers (most interesting for You is Manchester Central Library). ;)

there are 6 marriages listed upto 1930
John H 1910, Robert 1912, Elizabeth 1912, Grace 1916, Martha L 1929 and Rosina 1910. Let me know if these are of use and I will give you more info

St Helens Local History Library do not do research for anyone.   You would have to look up on the census for them or contact The St Helens Local History Group they have produced at disk with a lot of the marriages and deaths on it.  They have recently split with the Liverpool Group so don 't know exactly how you will find them.

The only other way is for you to telephone St Peters Church in Parr and speak to the vicar.

Thanks for your replies Genieology and Dancing Master......

These 6 marriages are mine, but I now have the info from them....I was looking more for a James Shard marriage about 1881-1888 or a baptism of a Robert Shard same years.....fathers name James...mothers name unknown.........

the Robert Shard marriage in 1912 ....is the one I'm looking for above....we can't find him in the 1891 census or his birth registered anywhere, was hoping to find a baptiam to find the name of his mother
