Hi Chris,
I would really appreciate any infofmation you may come across on the 1841 or 1851 census for the following people.
I have some of them appearing on BMD certificates I have, and have managed to piece together some details from IGI and occasional visits to Lewes and Brighton record offices, but have not yet had the time to locate them on censuses.
I don't expect you to scan every page looking for them but if any come your way I would love to have my rather sketchy research confirmed!
John Boon, b. c1833, occupation in 1855 Painter, father George Boon, occupation probably Butcher, mother probably Jane, all should be living in Brighton and from Sussex.
Harriett Traveller, b. c1833, father Thomas, occupation Servant, mother probably Martha, again all in Brighton and hailing from Sussex.
William Granger/Grainger b. c1835, probably Lewes, father Henry, occupation Labourer, mother unknown, all should be living in Brighton.
Harriett Packham/Peckham, b. c1828, probably Brighton, Father Thomas, b. c1790, occupation probably Labourer, Ostler or Groom, mother Mary/May, b. c1799, all should be living together in Brighton in 1841 but Thomas may have been living apart from his family by 1851.
Sorry it's a bit of a shopping list but until I can get hold of the '41 and '51 censuses myself, lovely people like you are my only hope in my search for my Sussex roots, living as I do so far from the dear old County!
Anything I can do for you in return, please let me know.
Thanks and best wishes.......................Pam
