Richard Winchester - Frensham

Richard Winchester married Caroline White at Frensham on 11 Mar 1840 and I believe that they had at least 2 children - William b1842 at Frensham and James b1848.

I am trying to find out more about Richard and especially who his  parents were.

I would be grateful for any assistance with this.

There is a marriage on FreeBMD of a Richard Pankhurst Winchester Q1 1840 at Farnham which covers Frensham (4 96a) but no spouse as yet on the index, although I see you have the information from the IGI.  If you purchased a copy of the certificate it would give you his father's name.
I would suspect that his mother's maiden name was Pankhurst because of the extensive use of this name with him & possible other siblings.  I've checked the Surrey Marriage index for a Winchester/Pankhurst marriage with no luck even though Frensham has been covered so I would assume the Winchester family came from another parish.
