Info requested - 2nd Leinster Regiment
« on: Monday 10 September 07 16:26 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for any information on the 2nd Leinster Regiment.

My Grandfather, Private Patrick Joyce was serving with them in 1921 when they were in Assaye Barracks Colchester, and ultimately I am hoping to trace him.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for this?

Thanks   :)

 :) Hi

If you think he served until or beyond 1922 then his service records will still be held with the MOD. See the link below:

If he served in the Great War period and he left the forces around 1921, then his records should be at the National Archives, if they survived the German bombing raids of WW2.

Reid: Nicol: Peterhead and Aberdeen
McDonald: Greig: Milne: Aberdeenshire
Moreland: Lanarkshire, Whitehaven in Cumbria and Ireland
Cunningham: Lanarkshire, Cumbria and Ireland
Halliday: Falkirk, Stirlingshire and Ireland
Redpath: Stirlingshire and Banbridge
