How can I tell if a member is still active?

This may not be the right place to ask but


I came across a post dated January asking for a lookup on my OH's direct line. 

Rather than resurrect the thread I pm'd the poster about a month ago asking if they had any more info as I have come across a bit of a puzzle relating to someone mentioned in the query but had no response.

Do I assume that member is no longer on site, or am I just impatient?

If you click on their name (to the left of the said post), it will take you to their profile and you can see when they last logged in.

I don't see any problem with posting to the thread either with such an exciting discovery

If you look at the person's profile (click on their name) it will tell you when they were last online.

In the general way of things, people are busy & sometimes it is weeks or even months between visits (whole hours in my case, lol!!)

Don't be afraid to resurrect the thread though - someone else might be able to help you.  This is the reason we don't archive or delete old threads: often search engines will bering folk to us long after the original post was made.

The person you contacted will get a notification that you have sent them a PM (as long as they haven't changed their email address without telling us!)

If you go to that members profile ( click on the little face on left of post) it will tell you when they were last online. They might be away or busy so you might still get an answer sometime.
Also might be worth resurrecting the thread as it might spark interest from other members.

I'm sure I posted a reply earlier saying thank you to Casalguidi and Arranroots.  It doesn't seem to be there now
