Blundell family of Buckland

I'm looking for the William Blundell family of Buckland. William would have been born about 1765 0r 1770, and was married to Sarah. They had children Mary, Jane, Joseph, Michael, and possibly others in Buckland. Mary married Richard Lisney of Bethworth. Is anyone familiar with this Blundell family? Looking for where they came from, their ancestors, and so on. Thanks! :)

Can't trace any further back for you at the moment, but it appears that Sarah is still living in Buckland in 1841 and 1851, with a son James.

From www.bucklandsurrey.net

1841 Sarah Blundell age 75, James Blundell age 35 Agricultural Lab.

1851 Sarah Blundell (written as Blunden) Head age 85 Pauper Laundress born Horley, Surrey
James Blundell Son age 45 Ag. Lab. born Buckland Surrey

There are no other Blundell's remaining in Buckland.

Jenny:  I've been trying to make sense of your Blundell family.
From the IGI I see there are 5 children attributed to a William & Sarah (SAR) Blundel in Buckley;

Jane  13/2/1785
My (Mary)  5/8/1787
Mich (Michael?)  10/4/1791
Jos (Joseph?)  26/5/1793
Edm (Edmond?)  27/3/1812

If this is the same couple that means they married a bit before 1785, but I can't find a suitable marriage for them on the Surrey Marriage Index  :(  However, I found some burials on the Surrey Burial Index, all at Buckley;

William  14/9/1814  age 6
Edmund  5/4/1812  inf.
WILLIAM  27/12/1840  age 72

He looks like your William which gives him a dob of about 1766.  No sign of a burial for Sarah after 1851  :(

Thanks for this. Sorry to see that Sarah was in the almshouse in 1851. Oh well. I have found her son Mich married to a Lydia. Mich and Lydia had eight children. I am still searching for more on William and Sarah, especially their parents.

Just found a whole thread devoted to this family under the name "Blunden" on Rootschat. It was great. From this I got the last name of Sarah, "Burchall," and it confirms all of the other information gathered here in this thread! What fun! :D

Yes--his father is Thomas Blunden, married to Susan Wales. His father is Thomas, married to Sarah Briggs--from IGI info.
