For anyone who is thinking of going by train, IF you can go by bus, express bus services are often quicker than the train for those further out in the suburbs, but on the down side times can be a bit unreliable if you're waiting at a bus stop on the side of the road. I hate QR.

Jackie, there are express buses from Browns Plains to the city. Check journeys and times on the transinfo site. If you're familiar with the area, you can park at Garden City Shopping Centre and it's 10 minutes into town on the busway - buses are frequent.  There is also a bus station at Eight Mile Plains with loads of parking over the road. Make sure you get on an express bus on the return journey too.

From Browns Plains Grand Plaza there is a bus at 8.57 (#140) which will get into Brisbane at approx 9.40

From Springwood  9.25 which gets into Brisbane at 9.51.

The transinfo site is also good - you can enter times, what mode of transport, where you are travelling to and from - you'll then be given various bus times, directions etc.

I think the platforms should be clearly marked where you are catching the bus.  If you get there 10 minutes early, I'm sure you would find it with no hassle.
