We're meeting up at the cafe just inside the Library at approx 10.30am.    No problem on time, get there when you can.

As for doing anything in particular . .. . nothing planned.  I think we're all looking to Marie and Ozlady as they've been there before and I wouldn't know where to start!!!

I am going to catch a train in, as I live so close it is not worth driving.  Anyway Mr Karenlee has to go down to the Coast and get the kids from the Grandparents that same day.  End of school holidays and all...

Don't know if you are talking about the State library or Southbank, but if it's Southbank, there will be an arts and craft  market happening.  Fish & Chips on the grass banks overlooking the river is always nice or one of the many cafes and restaurants are also great for lunch but get in early.    The Ship Inn pub on the main street of Southbank is handy for a quick glass of vino (or two  ) but will be packed.   A walk along the rivers edge across the Goodwill Bridge to the Botantical gardens is nice as well or you could duck across the Grey St bridge and hit Jupiters casino...whatever takes your fancy    Also check the Suncorp threatre as there could be a show on.

Just a tip, wear comfy shoes!!!!!

I don't think we'll be going to Jupiter's Casino Cazza, that's down the Gold Coast .. . did you mean Treasury Casino??

I think it's mainly going to be a State Library do with lots of meet and great, ooohs and aahhhs.   If there's any time after that, we may just get some lunch in (with vino      ) and maybe a bit of looking up in the stacks ............. who knows!!!

Karen, I'll be catching the train in also, no point in fighting for a parking spot is there!!!

It may well be possible to get somebody in the Family History section of the library to give a little talk on what resources they have and how they can help.  I think that would be good for people who haven't been there before and you could ask specific questions about resources you would like to access.  Barbara, I could give you the email address of the Senior Librarian, who is a very helpful woman, and you could contact her.
