Searching for FALCONBRIDGE in Donegal
« on: Friday 25 November 05 22:15 GMT (UK) »
Desperately seeking info re Falconbridge family of Donegal. Alexander married Catherine Quinn and their first child Alexander was born in Donegal in 1868 so they probably married around this time. Info not known on their death certificates, no parents identified apart from Catherine's father "John Quinn, farmer of Donegal".

Can anybody out there help me please. 6 other children were born before this family left for Australia in 1880. A William Falconbridge was Customs Excise officer in Quay Street Donegal in 1846 (Slaters) I believe he was possibly Alexander's father. (Maybe brother?)  Noone else but these children are listed on the IGI in Donegal.) The 2 names Alexander and William run through the family. The second child born was William John in 1869.

Valerie- looks like you haven't been back to this site since March 2006.
Have a few bits from Derry Sentinel:
1834- death- Mary Falconbridge (husband Officer of Excise)
1837- death- Wm. Falconbridge, Lisburn
1866- marr.- John Kennedy Falconbridge to Eliza Denholme Dugan
1868- birth- dau. of John Kennedy Falconbridge in Canada

Let me know if you are interested in full details.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

I just came across your posting and if you have further details for the four items below concerning the Falconbridges of Derry, I would very much like to have them.
