Penninah Bosson was the daughter of Enoch and Mary Bosson (nee Appleby). Enoch's parents were Noah and Ellen Bosson (nee Handley).
I agree that names occurring on census forms look more like Pauline, However I understand that she was christened as Penninah because the story (told by the family) suggests that the minister present did not recognise the name and had to be reminded that it occurs in 1 Samuel Ch1 Ver2 in the bible.
Since the names are different on the census forms (Paulia (1891), paulina(1901)), this could possibly have been a problem with the spelling of an unfamiliar name by the enumerators
I know that a nephew knew her as Auntie Penninah.
Penninah's second marriage was to Bill Strong, and I understand from family recollections that they had two children, Ken and Ernest.
