My source work based on The Irish Times 1859-1901 shows the following:
December 1st 1882 on P.1 death of Susan (wife of John E.Boshell)
Another matter......is the death of James Bushell in November 1884 of any interest to you?

Quaxer,
thank you, I have wondered which paper the cuttings are from! Is there a way I can view the entry myself?
I am not aware of a Boshell death in 1884.

The Irish Times Archive is available on line where you can view scans of the original articles - :
http://www.irishtimes.com/search/archive.html
There are various subscription options including one-Day. The archive hold details of Irish Times newspapers published since 1859.

I know I am probably being very thick here, but how do I pay euros, when my account is in £sterling?
There is a baptism on the IFHF site for instance, which would cost 5 euros.

PS 2 pages in and no nearer John Boshell's mother

If you pay by credit card they convert the currency for you.
(they usually take a smallish percentage as a fee.)

Firstly'thanks to Shane for his input
Kooky do you want the 1884 reference from The Irish Times which relates to a Bushell not a Boshell ?
