Ah BUT!! It's not Thomas's you need but PATRICKS 1862!
I double checked one of my own July 1861 certs and the place and date of marriage had been put back on the certs by that time.
I did a quick free search on S.P. and there is only one Patrick Kelly born in Renfrewshire in 1862. Then I clicked Port Glasgow too, and he is still there, he's practically begging to be bought, and hopefully no credits should be wasted.
Go get Patricks cert, fingers crossed. Sometimes it's a long road for a short cut
I have a branch of Kellys of my own, so I understand your frustration. Let us know how you get on with the cert and where the couple got married. I'll look in tonight after work and see if there is any result. My moneys on Donegal, but I won't mind being proved wrong.
