I have a g3gm Jane Snell b~1764 who married Edward Bird and lived in Brettenham, Suffolk. The 1851 census gives her as born Peldon Suffolk. No such place! Two of her children ended up in Stanway, Essex about 5 miles from Peldon, Essex. If someone has access to the Peldon parish registers and could see whether there was a Jane Snell born in Peldon ~1764 or whether there was a Snell family in the parish it would be much appreciated.
