I've just started researching my family tree and have discovered Barbara Jessie Holmes is my Great Grandmother on my father (John Holmes) side. If anyone has further information I'd be very pleased to hear about it

I cannot find their mother Elizabeth before 1891 census
1891/1901 she is a widow and running a lodging house
by 1911 she had moved to St peter port Guernsey to run a lodging house at Norfolk Lodge Doyle Rd
She was still a widow - Barbara and Hugh lived with their mother

one of the children's birth certs is needed to find parents name & mother's maiden name

I have not located baptisms for the children
