Cause of death query

What would a 'cerebro vascular accident' be, given as a cause of death ?  Why accident ?   This was an old lady in a residential home ...

I believe it's just another term for a stroke  :)

Thats correct Lydart, and health professionals still refer to strokes as CVAs!!
