The rest of the family all born L/pool.

Got Them in Liverpool 1861 / 51.

1841 7 Lyons St. Liverpool
John Campbell. 30 Iron Founder
Ellen 24 wife Liverpool
James 3 b L/pool
Mary 13 mths b L/pool
John Isherwood  b L/pool

1837 Marriage John Campbell / Ellen Isherwood. L/pool.

Puts Johns Birth at about 1810. I.G.I. Shows only 7 John Campbells born between 1808-12.

Anyone place John In Ramsgate.

The parish church of Ramsgate is St Lawrence (Thanet).  There is a baptism on the IGI for a John CAMPBELL 1812 St Lawrence (parents Michael & Sarah) http://www.familysearch.org 

There is also a Mary 1801 with parents Dougal & Margaret

In addition, there is a look-up offer for the parish registers of Thanet St Lawrence via the Kent Lookup Exchange http://members.tripod.com/~jo42/knt.html - it might help to double check.

16th July 1837 St Phillips Liverpool.

John Campbell. 26 Iron moulder. Father Michael. Labourer
Ellen Isherwood. 20 Gentlewoman. Father Abraham. Occ ?

Ties in with the birth 1812 Thanet. Father Michael.

All I meant was that was the only other CAMPBELL baptism I could see ie. Mary dau of Dougall & Margaret.

Birth of John Campbell 16th Feb 1812 Saint Laurence Thanet Kent
Parents, Michael Campbell & wife Sarah.
Johns marriage in 1837 say's Michaels occ was as a Groom.

Unfortunately no surname for Sarah, searched the usual sites for a marriage around 1812 without success.

Hi Andy, I’ve not been on rootschat for quite a while, health probs but nearly all sorted now. Hope to get back into it soon. No I’ve nothing new on the Campbells. Good luck in your search.
