Hi again,
I found out a lot of information when I met a distant cousin at the genealogical society of Victoria some years ago, he had been out to England & researched a lot of the early family tree, I had the certificates and family memorabilia for the Australian part.
The Lugg tree as known to me is:
1st generation - Thomas Lugg b 1589 m Faith Andrews 1614 (9 children)
2nd Gen - George Lugg b 1615 m ? 1647 (3 children)
3rd Gen - George Lugg b 1648 m Jane James 1683 (9 Children)
4th Gen - Alexander b 1648 m Mary Dale (9 Children)
5th Gen - Simon Lugg m 1. Christian Dale 1777 (4 Children) then 2. Elizabeth Pascoe 1793 (5 children)
6th Gen - Edward Lugg b 1797 m Juliann Hendy 1819 (9 Children)
(This is the Edward you ask about - he had a brother William who is the William buried at Mt Duneed)
7th Gen - Samuel Hendy Lugg (Third child of Edward) b 1823 m Mary Chegwidden 1847 came to Austarlia with his wife and 4 children to mine gold at Ballarat.
8th Gen - Samuel Hendy Lugg Jnr b 1849 m Lucy Ellen Boyton cummings in Melbourne in 1873 (6 Children)

10th Gen - Harold Frederick Lugg ( My grandfather) b 1904 m Dulcie harris ( 3 children)
11th Gen - Rae Lugg b 1938 (My mother) m John Davis 1958 (3 children)
Further specific information on your Edward - he was the one of the five children from Simon Luggs second marriage to Elizabeth Pascoe. According to our records he was born on 13th July 1797 at Ruan Major. He married Juliann Hendy at Gunwalloe in 1819. For many generations afterwards, descendants who had travelled to Australia had Hendy as a middle name. Edward and Julianne's 9 children were: Ann born 27th July 1819, Edward born 25th May 1821, Samuel Hendy born 28th August 1823, Henry born 26th February 1826, Grace Hendy born 31st October 1828, William born 9th October 1831, Julianna Hannah born 17th January 1834, Elizabeth born 4th April 1836 and Ellen born 25th July 1838.
I hope all of this is helpful......
