Leng family from Lythe Pickering

Hi, I've been stuck on my ancestor Charles Leng 1780 Lythe for a long time, I've heard from Bev at Genes Reunited that although he appears to be missing a birth on any website his parents ae Thomas Leng baptised 28/10/1743 Lythe and possibly Elizabeth Raw no date of birth married 14/12/1766 in Lythe, Thomas's parents Francis Leng baptised 2/1/1708 and Mary Webster 10/1712 married 10/1/1740 Francis's parents Francis Leng and Margaret Hill married 25/11/1701 and having searched on familysearch the only Francis I can find between 1660 and 1690 in Yorkshire would be Francis Leng 6/4/1673 born Bubwith father John Leng.  Any ideas, info or help would very much be appreciated, I just want to check all this information matches up.

Hi Minor and Shipwright

Thanks for all the info and link, I 've been in contact with Alan a while ago, he couldn't find Charles anywhere either and he suggested that it would be wise not to jump the gun with the family until I definitely find a connection.

My logic worked upon the fact that being born around the same time and being the only Lengs to move to Lastingham at that time would suggest more than a coincidence, there aren't any Lengs living in Lastingham until then and all the rest apart from Charles share the same parents.  It's a pity I couldn't get hold of his wedding certificate but as we are talking around the early 1800's even if I could get to see his wedding certificate to Keziah(great old Yorkshire name) Holroyd chances are his father wouldn't be mentioned on it.  I'll keep a copy of the baptisms on notepad so that if I can tie this family together then at least I have a start on their ages.
