Many thanks Andrea and Little Nell. He seems to have slipped into a black hole somewhere !!!!

I'll keep trying to find his marriage and baptism records  and then hopefully discover who his parents were.

Kind regards, Rosemary

Rosemary, If your Pescod line was still in Midhurst in the 1880's then Harold Edward Pescod (born 27 Aug 1882 in Midhurst) may be a relation? If he was then I may have a photograph of him and wondered if you had any others of him that would match/confirm that the picture is of him? I am not related and have just come across it doing some other research. Best regards PaulG, Midhurst West Sussex.

Hello Paul,
Many thanks for your interest and offer of a potograph. However, there is no trace of this line of our family living in the Midhurst area in the 1880s although I believe there was another Peskett (alternative spelling)family living there, but I'm afraid I have no details.

Once again, many thanks and kind regards,

Rosemary
