Trying to find birth details of Robert Stewart 1828/1831 ..
He married Jane Ferguson dob 1830 at Glasgow Lanarkshire 04 Dec 1853 parish records only record the marriage with no family details   
In the 1871 census for Kincardine he is shown as being born in Bannockburn Stirlingshire dob 1828 but I can find nothing in Scotland's People or on the IGI (then again Stewart's were quite prolific)  can anyone help ??

Hi Sylvie - Death cert for Robert Stewart.. died 1898 at Deanstone age 68..parents Robert Stewart (crofter) Ann Stewart nee Denovan..informant Peter Stewart son-in-law.
Cannot find any marriage record thru Scotlands People or anywhere else.
As a matter of fact Robert is a mystery he married Jane Fergsuson in Glasgow in 1853, in the 1861 census shows his place of birth as Edinburgh but in all the other census he is show as Bannockburn..his parents were married at St Ninian in 1821..so I don't know 

Also having problems with his wife Jane Ferguson dob 1830 at Thornhill parents John and Jane/Janet McGrigor can find no marriage altho'in the 1861 census there is a Mary Ferguson with them dob 1795 birthplace Rhu/Row dunbartonshire.. really don't know where to go from here, could be another relative ??

May add due to informant Peter Stewart on the death cert have come up with a whole new Stewart family LOL he married Janet Ann the youngest daughter of Robert and Jane and had about eight children talk about confusing

Hi Sylvie - since speaking to you last ahve confirmed that Robert Stewart married Jane Ferguson (Parish records page 399 Glasgow) according to another relative it was a runaway marriage (she was pregnant..good enough reason)
Found another 2 children on the IGI fir Robert and Ann Denovan (his parents) Duncan Stewart 29 Dec 1829

Still cannot find a birth for Robert, both myself and another relative have been working on it but no luck !!!
IGI reports another 2 children for Robert Stewart and Ann Denovan..Duncan 29 Dec 1829 St Cuthberts and Jessy Graham Henderson Stewart 17 Apr St Cuthberts..But still nothing for Robert  whre to next , this is getting impossible 
The informant on his death cert was his son-in-law Peter McGregor Stewart, but have gained no leads from this either..am begining to wonder if this guy was just fantasising or what ..can't seem to get any further forward unless I have date of birth..nothing on SP or IGI  Regards patvp
